Somatic learning 

How much energy we have and how we use this energy determines how we respond to life situation. We simply can cope better when we have more energy. 

What goes on in the mind reflects what is happening in the body and vice versa. 

Somatic learning is a way of understanding the human personality in terms of the body and its energetic processes. It is a form of psychotherapy that combines work with the mind and the body to help people solve their emotional problems and realize their potential for happiness and joy in all aspects of their lives. 

Somatic learning allows you to: 

  • Discover natural breathing

  • Unblocking the body's holding patterns that restrict your energetic potential

  • Increase your capacity for feelings of pleasure

Too many people these days live in their heads and operate primarily from a cognitive angle. As we work with our bodies, we release tension through movement. During our sessions, we do exercises that will help you get back in touch with your feelings and emotions. This will: 

  • Increase the vibratory state of your body

  • Ground you in your legs and body

  • Deepen your breathing

  • Sharpen your self-awareness

  • Encourage self-expression 

Wendy worked with me over the course of a year to help me really tune in to who I am. She opened up entirely new pathways for me to listen to my body, pay attention to the signals (however subtle) my body would give me. We did grounding exercises and guided meditations that are still helpful to me today! Wendy came from a place of really wanting to help me with all the various tools, techniques and learnings she had which served to expand my universe of awareness for my own well-being.
